Environmental Field Inspector

Compliance Resources, Inc. (CRI) is an environmental consulting firm, specializing in stormwater compliance for the construction industry. CRI supports the construction industry with Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3), site inspections, permitting, signage, training, and more.

The Environmental Field Inspector position is for full-time fieldwork (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm). Some after-hours or weekend hours may be required.

Hourly rate of $15.39 per hour (~$32,000 per year)

Environmental Field Inspector Job Duties:

  • conducting field inspections and audits
  • develop a working knowledge of Federal, State and local stormwater regulations and requirements
  • documenting findings in established written format
  • updating inspection site maps
  • interacting with clients to notify them of inspection findings

Additional Information:

  • 4-year Natural Science or Environmental Science Degree required
  • use of the personal vehicle is required with mileage reimbursement at IRS rate
  • applicants must complete background check and drug test
  • CRI covers 85% of employee's base medical insurance (dental and vision optional)
  • CRI offers a Simple IRA with 3% company match available after 1 year of employment

 

Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Writer

Compliance Resources, Inc. (CRI) is an environmental consulting firm, specializing in storm water compliance for the construction industry. CRI supports the construction industry with Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3), site inspections, permitting, signage, training, and more.

The SWP3 writer position is for full-time office work in Georgetown, Texas (Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm).

Hourly rate of $13.47 per hour (~$28,000 per year) (commensurate with experience, background, or degree in a related field).

SWP3 Writer Job Duties:

  • research construction projects (using Google Earth, computer programs, various internet sites, internal databases, etc.)
  • write all aspects of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3)
  • draw site maps (using a computer-aided AutoDesk tracing program)
  • prepare permit applications, letters, and certified mailings
  • assemble completed Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3)
  • general clerical duties (scanning, filing, updating internal databases, etc.)

Ideal Candidate:

  • EXPERIENCE READING ENGINEERED CIVIL PLANS (REQUIRED)
  • COMPUTER-AIDED DRAWING SKILLS (PREFERRED)
  • organized / focused / very detail oriented
  • exceptional grammar and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • great time management skills and work ethic
  • professional and positive attitude
  • regimented / follows processes and procedures
  • works great alone or on a team
  • good at handling multiple projects at once
  • accountable
  • being able to handle and learn from constructive criticism is key for this position (training is scheduled in pieces over 3 months) computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), internet research, computer-aided drawing skills, copy machine

Additional Information:

  • SWP3 Writer position spends ~ 40% of time drawing site maps (computer-aided) and ~ 60% of time researching and writing documents; all necessary training will be provided by Compliance Resources, Inc.
  • high school diploma or equivalent required; A COLLEGE DEGREE IN A RELATED FIELD IS PREFERRED
